The craft tradition behind this piece — known in Gujarat as Moti Bharat Kaam — has roots in the tribal communities of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, where women have long used glass beads to create jewellery, ceremonial adornments, and decorative accessories. Glass beads have held symbolic significance in these communities for centuries — associated with prosperity, identity, and the passage of cultural knowledge from mother to daughter.
