About the pieces
Are these really handmade?
Yes. Every piece is made by hand by a named artisan or small workshop, not manufactured in a production run. That is why colour, grain and finish vary slightly between pieces, and why no two are ever identical.
The piece I received looks slightly different from the photo.
That is expected with handwork, within reason. Natural stone has its own veining; hand-woven beadwork has its own rhythm. If the difference goes beyond that, email us a photo — see our refund policy.
Is my piece one of a kind?
Many are, especially the framed pebble art and hand-carved stone. Where a piece is genuinely unique the product page says so — once it is sold, it is gone.
Who makes them?
We work directly with regional craftspeople and family workshops — bead weavers, stone carvers, brass casters and copper engravers. Where an artisan is happy to be named, their name is on the product page.
Shipping
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is $12 across Canada, and free on orders of $75 or more. Express is $20. Your exact cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
How long will delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days. After that, typically 2–4 business days in Ontario and 3–8 across the rest of Canada. Full detail is in our shipping policy.
Do you ship outside Canada?
We currently ship within Canada. If you are outside Canada and would like a piece, email us and we will tell you honestly whether we can get it to you.
What if it arrives damaged?
Photograph the item and the box and email us within 48 hours. We replace or refund it in full, we cover the return cost, and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. You are never out of pocket for a courier's mistake.
Returns
Can I return something?
Yes — within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging. See the refund policy for the full terms.
What can't be returned?
Opened or used wellness consumables (incense, oils, burned candles), custom or personalised commissions, and gift cards.
How long does a refund take?
Once your return reaches us we inspect it and email you the same or next business day. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Caring for your piece
How do I clean brass and copper?
Wipe with a dry cloth. For tarnish, half a lemon dipped in salt, then rinse and dry completely. Tarnishing is natural and reversible — many people prefer the aged patina.
How do I clean marble?
A dry soft cloth, or a cloth barely dampened with pH-neutral soap. Never use lemon, vinegar or any acid on marble — it etches the surface permanently. This is the one mistake worth remembering: lemon cleans brass beautifully and ruins marble.
How do I store bead jewellery?
Flat rather than hanging, out of direct sunlight, and put it on after perfume and lotion rather than before.
Are the copper vessels safe to drink from?
They are traditional Ayurvedic tamra jal vessels made from pure copper, made for exactly that use. Fill overnight, drink in the morning, then rinse and dry. Do not put them in a dishwasher and do not store citrus or other acidic drinks in them.
